IMPORTANT: Before you submit a repair request, read through the information below.

If your toilet is clogged:

If you can't flush your toilet because of a clog, you'll need to use a plunger to try to move the blockage through the system. Simply place the plunger over the drain and press down hard to create suction; next, pump the plunger up and down vigorously to dislodge anything stuck in the pipe.

My sink or shower won't drain:

Clogs in sinks and showers are often a result of debris being flushed down the drain. You can try the unclogging method described above to push the clog through the pipe. You can also purchase drain cleaning tools from local hardware stores. Please do not caustic chemicals to clean your drains, as these could damage your pipes.

If you lose electrical power...

Call ConEd or visit their website to report the problem or track local outages. In most cases, they should be able to help you troubleshoot the source of your issue.

If you are living in a rental unit with a hot water heater, check the settings on your tank to determine if everything is working properly. You may be able to turn the heater off and back on again to cycle the system.
